What am I supposed to do?

Some people in this household think I really should have thrown out the now well dried remains of my sons umbilical cord long ago, but I can't do that can I? Today I took some photos of it and then almost threw it out, but it ended up in a specimen jar instead. I think it looks kind of cool, in a weird kind of way...
